This side chair is constructed from solid oak with a prominent wood grain. It features an upright back with a slightly arched top rail above four vertical square-section spindles. The seat is solid wood, contoured in a saddle-style design. The chair is supported by turned front legs and slightly splayed back legs, joined by an H-form stretcher. A small white painted mark, possibly a maker or owner monogram or stylized characters, is located on the reverse of the upper back rail. Two stickers are present on the left-hand back upright: a circular orange sticker with the handwritten number 482 and a small white rectangular sticker with the printed number 2.
Condition report:
The chair appears in good, sturdy condition. There is visible surface wear consistent with age and regular use, including various minor scuffs, scratches, and indentations to the solid oak seat and the legs. The finish shows a well-aged patina.
