Lot 469: A Nest of Four Queen Anne Style Burr Walnut Veneered Tables
A set of four graduated nesting tables in the Queen Anne style. Each table features a shaped, scalloped-edge top finished with figured burr walnut veneers. The tables are supported by slender cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The aprons are decoratively scalloped to complement the table tops. The frames are constructed from solid wood with veneered top surfaces. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the pieces. A small yellow adhesive label is present on the side of the largest table.
Condition report:
The tables are in fair used condition. The top of the largest table shows visible surface scratches, scuffs, and some unevenness in the finish consistent with regular use. One foot on the smallest table appears to have significant wear or a missing pad. There are general minor knocks and abrasions to the legs and edges throughout the set.
