Lot 438: A Decorative Floral Ceramic Table Lamp with Pleated Shade
This item is a decorative table lamp of a style common in domestic interiors from the late 20th century. The lamp features an ovoid ceramic body with a pale yellow ground, decorated with floral motifs including multi-petalled flowers in tones of peach and orange with green foliage. The decoration is set against a lightly stippled background. The ceramic body is mounted on a dark-finished, tiered circular base. It is fitted with a large, conical pleated fabric shade in a coordinating light cream tone, featuring a decorative braided rope trim to the top and bottom edges. There are no identifiable maker’s marks or signatures visible on the piece. A small white inventory label with the number 2 is adhered to the ceramic body. The lamp is fitted with a black electrical power cord and plug.
