This is a vintage record storage album designed for 10-inch 78rpm shellac records. The exterior is finished in a textured, dark reddish-brown faux-leather grain. Centrally located on the front cover is a green oval decal featuring the trademark image of Nipper the dog listening to a gramophone horn above the words His Master’s Voice. The interior features a metal ring-binder mechanism holding several light blue paper storage sleeves with central circular apertures. Included within the album are several 78rpm records. One record is a purple label Columbia Records disc featuring Pagliacci – Prologue by Leoncavallo, performed in Italian by baritone Riccardo Stracciari with orchestra under the direction of Giorgio Polacco, catalogue number 7224. Another record features a red His Master’s Voice label with the Nipper trademark.
Condition report:
The exterior binding shows signs of age-related wear, including scuffing and loss of material at the corners and along the spine edges. The central HMV decal remains clear with minor surface wear. The internal blue paper sleeves exhibit typical age-toning and wear around the ring apertures. The records have not been play-tested for audio quality or surface noise.
