Lot 315: A Collection of Decorative Ceramics including Majolica and Transfer-Printed Wares
A collection of decorative ceramic items comprising various forms and decorative styles. The collection includes a Majolica-style bowl molded in relief as overlapping leaves, featuring a green glazed exterior and a yellow shell-form interior, in the style of Italian Bassano or Capodimonte production. Also present is a squat polychrome transfer-printed jug with floral motifs in iron-red, blue, and brown highlights, set on a lobed foot with an ornate handle. A slender tall jug is decorated with a magenta monochrome floral transfer-print spray on a white ground, featuring an elongated neck and scrolled handle. The final item is a lidded urn or finial, decorated with horizontal metallic gold-tone bands on a cream-coloured ground. All items are without visible factory marks. Orange price stickers and small white numbered labels are present on the bodies of the pieces.
