A collection of vintage hardcover fiction volumes, primarily published in the early-to-mid 20th century. The group includes several notable authors of adventure and historical romance. Titles observed include: Heu-Heu or the Monster by H. Rider Haggard (Hutchinson), Rupert of Hentzau by Anthony Hope (Arrowsmith), The Small Dark Man by Maurice Walsh (W. & R. Chambers), No Other Tiger by A.E.W. Mason (Hodder & Stoughton), The Justice of the Duke by Rafael Sabatini, Westward Ho! by Charles Kingsley, and My Lady of the Moon by John Oxenham. The volumes are octavo (8vo) in size and bound in publisher original cloth of various colours, including teal, cream, tan, light blue, and coral. Condition report:
The collection is in varied condition consistent with age and shelf use. Visible defects include sunning and fading to the cloth spines, with several volumes exhibiting leaned or cocked spines. There is bumping and wear to the corners and spine ends throughout. The cloth bindings show evidence of rubbing, spotting, and occasional staining. No dust jackets are present on the visible volumes.
