This lot comprises a Victorian style brass demi-lune umbrella stand and an assortment of walking sticks and umbrellas. The stand is constructed from tubular brass in a traditional semi-circular design, featuring turned decorative finials, a curved top rail, and a white drip tray at the base. An assortment of items is contained within, including a walking stick with a Derby-style handle and matching shaft decorated with a red ground and blue floral motifs, joined by a chrome-toned collar. A second walking stick features a black finished shaft topped with a brass-toned metal cap handle and a brown braided cord wrist strap. A third stick is finished with a cream-coloured shaft. Also included are two umbrellas, one with a yellow and brown checked canopy and another with a black and white houndstooth pattern canopy. A small white label with the number 2 is affixed to the lower rail of the stand, and a yellow tag is attached to the handle of the floral walking stick. No manufacturer marks or hallmarks are visible on the components.
Condition report:
The brass stand displays a natural aged patina with visible areas of surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age and domestic use. The walking sticks and umbrellas are in used condition, showing signs of wear including minor surface scuffs to the shafts and handles. The canopies of the umbrellas show light marks from use.
