This lot comprises three framed monochrome works depicting locations in Cumbria and the Lake District. The primary item is a silver gelatin photograph showing a row of leisure boats moored at a jetty, with handwritten ink inscriptions on the buff-toned paper mount reading Tom Cross at the top right and Lakeside, Windermere at the bottom right. The photograph is housed in a glazed oak frame. Accompanying this is a small etching of a village building viewed through a stone archway, titled in the margin CARTMEL and signed in pencil P. Buckley, presented in a narrow black frame. The third piece is a monochrome print of a mountain lake scene, signed within the image S. Graham and titled vertically on the right margin HEAD OF WINDERMERE, set in a dark wood frame with a gilt-effect inner slip.
Condition report:
All three mounts exhibit significant age-related toning and some minor foxing. The frames show light surface scuffing but remain structurally sound. There is no evidence of silver mirroring or creases to the silver gelatin photograph.
