Lot 183: A Collection of Stoneware Tableware in the Style of Denby Imperial Blue
A group of stoneware ceramics featuring a design in the style of Denby’s Imperial Blue pattern. The collection includes tea cups, saucers, and a side plate. Each item is finished with a mottled cobalt blue glaze on the exterior surfaces and plate borders, which is paired with a contrasting white glaze to the interiors and centres. A thin, ochre-coloured line marks the transition between the two glazes. The pieces are of sturdy construction, reflecting mid-to-late 20th-century British design. No factory backstamps are visible on the items’ upper surfaces, as the bases are not shown. Small adhesive labels are attached to some pieces.
Condition report:
The assortment is in good used condition with no evidence of chips, cracks, or restoration on the exposed surfaces. Minor signs of wear and surface scuffing from previous use are likely present.
