Lot 182: An Assortment of Decorative Ceramics and Teaware
An assortment of decorative ceramic items comprising various teaware, bowls, and a leaf-moulded dish. The teaware includes two ornate porcelain cups featuring extensive gilt scrollwork and floral transfer-printed sprays, two teacups and saucers with yellow and green floral motifs and gilt rims, and a plain white porcelain cup with a gilt rim. The decorative pieces include a green-glazed earthenware dish moulded in the form of a leaf in the majolica style, a small cream-coloured mug with a transfer-printed crest, and small glazed cups in blue and brown. The collection also features a stack of three bowls including a brown earthenware ramekin, a pale blue bowl with a pink floral garland border, and a larger white bowl decorated with lily-type flowers and a blue band. Several items bear orange adhesive labels with handwritten numbers. No manufacturer marks or backstamps are visible from the perspective shown.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally good condition with no large chips or cracks visible. There is noticeable wear to the gilding on the more ornate cups. General surface wear and minor blemishes consistent with age and use are present throughout the lot. The items have not been individually inspected for hairlines or professional restoration.
