A Victorian style cast iron umbrella and walking stick stand of upright rectangular form. The top plate is cast with ten circular apertures designed for holding sticks or umbrellas, and the frame is surmounted by four decorative knob finials at the corners. The side panels feature ornate foliate scrollwork decoration. The stand is fitted with a solid rectangular drip tray at the base to collect water. The entire piece is finished in an off-white or cream paint. No maker marks, registration stamps, or inscriptions are visible on the exterior surfaces.
Condition report:
The stand is in fair condition with visible wear consistent with age and use. There are numerous chips, scuffs, and scratches to the painted finish. Areas of surface oxidation and minor rust are present where the underlying iron is exposed, particularly around the edges and within the drip tray. The paint appears to be a later application over the original surface.
