Lot 94: A Collection of Porcelain Trinket Boxes, Decorative Glass, and Miniature Collectibles
A collection of various decorative objects and miniatures, primarily comprising porcelain trinket and pill boxes featuring hinged metal mounts. The assortment includes various shapes and sizes decorated with transfer-printed and hand-painted floral motifs, including several examples in the style of Limoges. One heart-shaped box in deep blue features a transfer-printed scene captioned WELSH COSTUMES. The group further includes an opalescent blue glass bowl with a fluted, ruffled rim and a pressed amber glass bowl containing multiple mother-of-pearl shells. Also present is a heart-shaped ceramic dish containing brass-toned metal hardware, a black-rimmed oval ceramic base, and several other floral-patterned porcelain boxes. Many items are marked with orange and white adhesive inventory labels.
Condition report:
The collection appears in good overall condition. Minor surface wear and dust accumulation consistent with age and use. Adhesive inventory labels are present on several pieces. Metal mounts and hinges on boxes appear functional. No visible chips, cracks, or restorations to the glass or porcelain components were observed during visual inspection.
