Lot 65: Two-piece cut crystal preserve pot and matching underplate in the American Brilliant Period style
A two-piece lead crystal set comprising a lidded circular preserve pot and a coordinating circular underplate. The exterior surfaces are decorated with a detailed hand-cut pattern featuring large multi-pointed hobstars, fan cuts, and panels of strawberry diamond cutting. The lid is finished with a faceted glass finial and features a scalloped rim. The matching underplate displays a coordinating pattern with a deep scalloped edge. No maker marks or signatures are visible. Two temporary adhesive labels are present: one marked 65 on the plate rim and one marked 5 on the pot body.
Condition report:
The glass remains clear and bright with no evidence of internal clouding. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible. Minor superficial wear and small nicks to the sharp edges of the cut decoration consistent with age and use may be present.
