Lot 64: A decorative wooden model ship of the H.M.S. Bounty attributed to Heritage Mint
Attributed to Heritage Mint as part of the Tall Ships of the World series, this 20th-century decorative wooden model represents the H.M.S. Bounty. The vessel is constructed with a natural finish wooden hull and three masts rigged with square sails in a blue and white horizontally striped fabric. The rigging is comprised of dark cordage, and a small printed Union Jack flag is positioned at the stern. The model is mounted upon a rectangular wooden display plinth supported by two turned pillars, featuring a metal-effect plaque to the front inscribed H.M.S BOUNTY. An orange adhesive price label is currently attached to the main deck.
Condition report:
The model is in good overall condition. An adhesive orange label is present on the deck. There is a light accumulation of surface dust throughout the rigging and across the deck.
