A set of silver-plated tea and coffee service items and a coordinating circular gallery tray. The collection includes a coffee pot, a teapot, an open sugar bowl, and a cream jug. Each vessel is of baluster form, featuring heavily chased decoration of floral and foliate scrolls across the bodies. The coffee and teapots are fitted with hinged lids topped by decorative finials and ornate scroll handles. The large circular gallery tray features a raised, pierced rim with a repeating geometric and foliate pattern, while the central ground is intricately engraved with a dense pattern of floral and foliate scrolls matching the service pieces. No maker’s marks or silver hallmarks are visible on the exterior surfaces. Modern adhesive inventory labels with the numbers 59 and 5 are present on some pieces.
Condition report:
The items exhibit signs of age-related wear, including overall tarnish and surface scratching. The silver plating appears largely intact with no significant areas of loss, dents, or visible repairs noted.
