Lot 12: Two Hand-Carved Two-Tone Wooden Figurines
A decorative hand-carved wooden figurine of a tortoise and hand carved antelope, crafted in a stylised form using contrasting wood tones. The piece features a dark-stained head and lower section, while the carapace is finished in a lighter tone and detailed with a grid of raised rectangular segments. The head is depicted in an upturned, alert posture. Two temporary paper labels are present: an orange tag near the neck marked 7/ and a white sticker on the rear marked 14.
Condition report:
The figure remains in good structural condition. Minor surface wear and fine natural checking are visible within the wood grain, consistent with age and material. No significant chips or losses are apparent.
