This decorative miniature diorama is presented on a shaped dark wood base and depicts a stylised landscape scene. The composition features a small composite figure of a soldier, modelled in the style of a Qin dynasty terracotta warrior. The landscape includes three miniature thatched-roof huts constructed with split-bamboo effect materials and a stylised pine tree. The textured ground is modelled with varied relief to simulate a rocky terrain. Several auction house labels are present: an orange sticker on the figure shows the number 2, and the base features a white sticker with the number 7 above another orange sticker with the number 3. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible. This item is characteristic of decorative export or souvenir ware produced in the late 20th century.
Condition report:
The piece is in fair condition but shows a significant accumulation of surface dust and debris across the textured landscape and within the crevices of the huts. The components appear largely intact, though the assembly shows signs of age and wear consistent with a mid-century decorative item.
