A pair of electric table lamps designed in the traditional hurricane or Gone with the Wind style, attributed to Plymouth Harlee. The lamps are constructed with polished brass-toned metal bases and fittings, featuring faux wick-turner keys to simulate the appearance of antique oil lamps. Each lamp comprises a milk glass font and a matching ruffled-rim milk glass shade, both decorated with floral decals in shades of orange, yellow, and brown. Clear glass chimneys are fitted to the top of each assembly. While matching in design, the lamps exhibit tonal differences; one glass body is bright white, whereas the other is a cream or off-white shade. The lamps are fitted with standard UK 3-pin plugs; one lamp has a brown cord and the other has a gold-toned cord with an integrated inline switch.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. There is a visible tonal variation between the two milk glass bodies. No chips or cracks observed on the glass shades, fonts, or chimneys. Polished metal bases show light surface wear and minor tarnishing consistent with age. One base retains a small adhesive price sticker. Electrical wiring and plugs appear intact; however, as with all electrical auction lots, these items are sold as untested and must be inspected by a qualified electrician prior to use.
