Lot 390: A Collection of Vintage British Comic Annuals including Beano and Dandy

The group features several iconic publications including multiple editions of The Beano Book with dates visible for 1970, 1971, and 2001, alongside an undated edition of The Dandy Book. Also present are The Topper Book 1970, Beryl the Peril 1969, and The Big Book of Football Champions. The volumes are bound in hardcover with pictorial lithographed boards, displaying characteristic cover illustrations of the mid-20th and early 21st centuries. One volume features the character Tom Cat on a blue background, while another depicts the character Beryl the Peril.

The annuals exhibit general shelf wear consistent with age and use. Observable defects include bumping and rubbing to the corners, spine ends, and board edges. There is some surface scuffing, minor slanting to some spines, and light soiling to the covers. One book has a small adhesive retail sticker on the front. The internal condition, including the presence of inscriptions, price-clipping, or page tears, has not been verified.
