Lot 356: Carved Wooden Stylised Elephant Head Sculpture
A hand-carved decorative sculpture of a stylised elephant head, crafted from dark-stained wood. The design features large, fan-shaped ears with incised linear patterns highlighted in a lighter shade. The trunk is carved with horizontal banding and functions as a vertical support, terminating in an integral, tiered rectangular plinth. The surface displays visible tool marks and a semi-gloss finish. A small white adhesive label with the handwritten numbers 19 19 is affixed to the base. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The item shows minor surface wear. There is a small chip on the upper edge of the proper left ear and a small indentation on the top of the head. Light scuffing and small scratches are present on the base.
