Lot 350: Late 19th Century William and Mary Style Marquetry Inlaid Side Table
A late 19th or early 20th-century side or library table constructed in the William and Mary revival style. The rectangular top with rounded corners is finished in walnut and fruitwood veneers, featuring a central oval marquetry medallion with foliate and floral motifs. The decoration is enclosed within a dark wood stringing border. The table is supported by four bobbin-turned legs, joined by a conforming H-pattern stretcher and raised on bun feet. No maker’s marks or labels are observed.
Approximately 100cm wide x 60cm deep.
Condition report:
In unrestored condition with notable signs of age and wear. The top veneer shows significant bubbling and delamination from the substrate in multiple areas. Further surface issues include several water rings, scratches, and general wear to the finish across both the top and the base.
