A mid-20th century multi-pelt fur wrap, likely mink, in a rich mahogany brown shade. The garment is constructed from several individual full pelts joined end-to-end. Each pelt section features preserved heads with inset glass eyes, four legs with small claws, and a bushy tail. The reverse of one section reveals a brown satin-style fabric lining with decorative channel stitching. The heads contain a spring-loaded clip mechanism within the jaws, designed to fasten onto another part of the stole or the wearer’s clothing. One black plastic clip is visible. No manufacturer or furrier labels are present. Two auction lot tags are attached, one with the number 225 in orange ink and another with the handwritten number 4.
Condition report:
The fur appears to be in good vintage condition with a healthy lustre and no immediate signs of significant hair loss or balding. The claws and tails appear largely intact. The fabric lining is present and shows typical signs of age-related wear but no major tears are visible.
