The wings and tail are decorated with intricate patterns in cobalt blue and iron red, accented with hand-applied gilding in an Imari-inspired style. The head is detailed with characteristic black, white, and red banding, topped with a gilded crest. The underside of the piece features a recessed circular base with an embossed gold-toned metal stopper. The stopper is marked with the words Royal Crown Derby and English Bone China surrounding a crown and monogram symbol. A hand-painted red Roman numeral date code LVII is visible on the ceramic base, indicating a manufacture date of 1994.
