Lot 187: A Pair of Ceramic Hereford Calf Figurines, attributed to Beswick
A pair of glazed ceramic figurines depicting standing Hereford calves. Each figure features naturalistic brown and white skewbald colouring with a high-gloss finish. The forms closely resemble model number 854 by Beswick. Both figurines bear contemporary adhesive inventory labels with hand-written numbers 17 and 187. No permanent manufacturer marks or model numbers are visible on the exterior surfaces shown.
Condition report:
Both figures show extensive all-over crazing to the glaze. No chips, cracks, or restorations are visible from the current orientation.
