Lot 120: A Collection of Antique and Vintage British Architectural Door Hardware Including Beehive and Mushroom Knobs
An assortment of antique and vintage architectural door hardware, primarily reflecting Victorian and early 20th-century British styles. The lot contains multiple doorknobs, featuring a pair of ebonized wood beehive-style knobs with brass collars, alongside brass beehive and mushroom-shaped examples. A large faceted brass knob and several circular black ebonized or early synthetic knobs are also present. The collection includes a decorative cast metal slide bolt with a trefoil-style end and a large, curved shepherd’s crook style metal pull handle with remnants of a white painted finish. Additional items consist of a brass pull handle on a rectangular backplate, various circular brass rose plates, a shaped brass escutcheon, and a white ceramic component. The items are constructed from materials including brass, ebonized wood, cast iron, and porcelain.

Items are in an as-found salvage state. Visible wear includes heavy oxidation and patination on brass surfaces, substantial paint loss on the curved iron handle, and surface scuffs on wooden and synthetic components. The lot comprises mixed parts; while some knobs are paired with spindles, many are individual pieces. Mechanical functionality of the latches and knobs is unverified.
