Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A set of six fine bone china figurines from the Splendour at Court collection, manufactured by Royal Worcester for Compton and Woodhouse. Each figurine is sculpted by John Bromley and portrays a lady in nineteenth-century style attire, characterised by elaborate tiered ruffled gowns with floral appliqués and gilded accents. The collection includes various designs: a lady in a light blue and white gown holding a fan; a lady in a white and gold patterned gown; a lady in a white gown with deep pink ruffled trim holding a rose and fan; a lady in a white gown decorated with large pink bows holding an open fan; a lady in a lavender and white gown holding a miniature and fan; and a lady in a pale cream gown with floral accents holding a fan. Each figure is mounted on a circular dark-stained wooden plinth. The base of one figurine is titled A Royal Presentation and bears the model number CW 258, numbered 12,205 of a limited edition of 12,500. The reverse is marked with the Royal Worcester backstamp, dated 1995, and identifies John Bromley as the sculptor.

Condition report:

The figurines appear to be in good overall condition with no obvious chips, cracks, or visible repairs to the porcelain. There are minor orange auction labels adhered to some pieces and bases. As is common with delicate porcelain lace and floral work, there may be very minor losses to the petal edges or ruffles not immediately apparent. The wooden bases show only light surface wear.
