Lot 69: A Collection of Decorative Crystal and Glass Bells including a Boxed Princess House West German Cut Crystal Bell
A collection of decorative bells featuring a primary hand-cut lead crystal bell by Princess House. This lead crystal bell retains its original blue and gold foil manufacturer label, which states Over 24% Lead Crystal and West Germany. The bell is decorated with a deep-cut pattern of diamonds beneath a field of starburst or fan-shaped wedge cuts, finished with a scalloped and vertically fluted rim. The handle is faceted with a hexagonal cross-section. This item is housed within its original burgundy silk-lined presentation box. Included in the collection is a clear glass bell with a faceted handle and etched floral and foliate motifs to the body. Also present is a glass bell with a turned white metal handle topped with a ball finial and simple etched floral patterns. The collection further includes a smaller decorative bell with a turned handle and painted or glazed decoration.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition. The boxed Princess House crystal bell appears in excellent state with no visible chips, cracks, or clouding. The additional glass and decorative bells show no obvious signs of damage or significant wear upon visual inspection. Adhesive price labels from a previous sale remain on several items.
