Lot 22: A Collection of Hand-Painted Miniature Architectural Models in the Style of Lilliput Lane and The Leonardo Collection
A collection of miniature architectural models depicting various British country cottages and dwellings. The group includes a range of designs such as a multi-storey stone manor house with multiple chimneys, a thatched cottage with climbing floral details and shrubbery, a stone cottage with a picket fence, and several smaller timber-framed and stone structures, including one resembling a ruin. Each piece is crafted from cast polyresin or a similar cold-cast material and finished with hand-painted details. A partial label on the underside of a timber-framed model bears the text ardo, attributed to The Leonardo Collection. Some items include orange and white numbered stickers. The items are shown alongside a box for a Beatrix Potter themed item and a book regarding road transport, which mentions suitability for 00 scale layouts.
Condition report:
The models are in generally good vintage condition. One small cottage appears to have a broken or missing section of the chimney or roof. There is evidence of light surface dust gathered in the recessed areas of the stonework and foliage. The painted surfaces remain largely intact across the collection.
