Lot 139: Japanese Battery-Operated World Machine Gun by Nomura (T.N) with Original Box
This vintage Japanese battery-operated toy, identified as the World Machine Gun, was manufactured by Nomura (T.N). The toy features a lithographed tinplate body with various mechanical-style details, a plastic muzzle, and a red-and-white striped light housing on the top. The stock is decorated with a wood-grain lithograph pattern and bears the World brand name and a floral emblem. The toy is designed to function with a flashing light mechanism powered by batteries. Included is the original pictorial cardboard box which depicts the machine gun in use against a combat background. The box displays the T.N trademark within a diamond inside a circle, alongside the text Trade Mark and Made in Japan.
Condition report:
The lithographed tinplate toy is in good overall condition with vibrant colours and minimal signs of surface wear or corrosion. The plastic muzzle and light housing are intact. The battery compartment shows signs of age; however, the electrical mechanism remains untested. The original illustrated box is present but exhibits signs of shelf wear, including creasing, corner scuffing, and minor tears. A yellow circular price sticker is affixed to the front panel.
