Lot 601: A white metal solitaire ring set with a round brilliant-cut stone in an Abbot & Moss retailer box
A solitaire engagement-style ring featuring a single round brilliant-cut colourless stone. The stone is held in a four-claw setting atop a plain, polished white metal band. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the interior or exterior of the shank. The ring is housed in a vintage presentation box, the interior lid marked for the retailer Abbot & Moss, Jewellers, Mere Street, Diss. The exterior of the box features a paper label with the handwritten number 109, which may relate to the stone weight.
Condition report:
The ring shows minor surface abrasions to the metal consistent with light wear. The stone is securely set. The vintage box exhibits significant wear, including scuffing to the leatherette exterior and staining and discolouration to the interior silk and velvet lining.
