March timed auction
Lot 118:
A group of decorative ceramic items featuring two distinct patterns. The first group comprises three pieces of white-glazed ceramic decorated in a pattern resembling Laura Ashley Cottage Sprig, featuring scattered pink rosebud transfer prints and pink-lined rims. This group includes two nested square-form vessels with rounded corners and an oval stand with multiple apertures, likely intended as a toothbrush holder or desk tidy. The second component is a globular lidded jar decorated with botanical transfer prints of ivy and berries. The lid is inscribed in cursive script with lyrics from the Christmas carol The Holly and the Ivy, reading: The holly and the ivy, when they are both full grown, of all the trees that are in the wood, the holly bears the crown. The items are consistent with late 20th-century British giftware.
The items are in generally good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The oval stand exhibits minor interior staining consistent with use. All pieces have adhesive auction lot stickers applied to the exterior.
