March timed auction
Lot 19:
A mixed quantity of approximately 25 pieces of clear glassware, primarily comprising various forms of stemware including wine glasses, sherry or liqueur glasses, and small goblets. The lot also includes a glass tankard with a stepped base and several tumblers of varying sizes. The collection features a variety of decorative styles; several pieces of stemware are decorated with vertical mitre cuts to the bowls, while one notably ornate piece displays a combination of deep wedge cuts and diamond-point cutting. A significant portion of the lot consists of plain, unadorned glass. One upturned tumbler retains a small rectangular green and gold adhesive label to the base, though the characters are illegible. The visual clarity and sharp definition of the cuts on several pieces suggest lead crystal construction, while other items appear to be of standard commercial-grade glass.
The items are in used condition and are loosely packed. One large glass displays significant internal cloudiness or bloom. General surface dust and light scratches are present throughout. Due to the loose packing, minor flea bite nicks or small rim chips consistent with bulk storage and handling may be present. One glass appears to have an inclusion or small mark on its base. No major structural cracks are immediately apparent.
