A Trio of Decorative Items Including a Chinese Blue and White Gilded Hexagonal Jar
A trio of decorative items comprising a Chinese blue and white porcelain hexagonal ginger jar, a stoneware bed warmer, and a candlestick telephone. The hexagonal jar is decorated with cobalt blue floral and foliate motifs on a white ground with gold-tone gilded highlights. The stoneware bed warmer is of cylindrical form with a flattened base and a buff-coloured glaze, complete with a threaded ceramic screw-top cap. The candlestick telephone features a brass-toned metal body, black plastic mouthpiece and earpiece, and a rotary dial marked CONVERSATION PIECES. Various adhesive identification and price stickers are present on the surfaces of all items.
The items are in fair condition with visible surface wear consistent with age and use. The metal components of the telephone show signs of tarnish. The ceramic glazes on the jar and bed warmer exhibit fine crazing. Adhesive residue from stickers is present.
