A Mid-Century Modern Woven Laundry Hamper by Burlington Basket Co.
A vintage rectangular storage chest or laundry hamper attributed to the Burlington Basket Company. The exterior is constructed from a white woven synthetic fibre featuring a diagonal textured pattern. The unit is embellished with gold-toned braided trim at the top and bottom edges. It features a hinged, padded lid with an upholstered border decorated in a floral motif of pink, green, and cream colours. This item is representative of mid-to-late 20th-century American domestic design.
The piece is in fair vintage condition, showing signs of age-related wear and surface soiling consistent with use. A small orange adhesive label is present on the lower-left corner of the front panel.
