A Platinum and Old European Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
A platinum solitaire ring featuring a central old European cut diamond. The gemstone is secured in a classic four-prong setting atop a polished white metal band. The ring is accompanied by a vintage retailer presentation box from S. Child & Son Ltd., 10 Bull Street, Birmingham. The box is constructed with a blue textured exterior and a cream silk and black velvet-lined interior. The interior silk lid is printed with the following text: WATCHMAKERS & JEWELLERS / ESTD 1850 / S. CHILD & SON LTD. / 10 Bull Street. / BIRMINGHAM.
The ring appears in good condition with minor surface wear to the band consistent with age. The presentation box shows visible age-related wear, including staining and discoloration to the interior silk lining.
