Lot 392: An Original Blue Onion Pattern Ceramic Lidded Soup Tureen
This ceramic lidded soup tureen is decorated in the Original Blue Onion pattern, also known as Zwiebelmuster. The piece is constructed from white glazed ceramic with blue transferware decoration. The design features traditional floral and foliate motifs, including a central pomegranate spray and a repeating geometric border. The tureen is designed with an oval body, twin scrollwork side handles, and a fitted lid topped with an ornate, scrolled finial. The lid includes a notch designed to accommodate a ladle. The exterior surface retains several retail inventory stickers.
