Lot 389: A Large Vintage Glass Demijohn in an Iron Carrier
A large vintage globular glass demijohn, also known as a carboy, constructed of thick pale green-tinted glass. The vessel features a reinforced rounded lip at the neck. It is housed within a circular iron strap carrier. Pieces of worn cardboard are present as padding between the glass bottle and the metal frame. A small orange inventory sticker numbered 389 is affixed to the neck.
Condition report:
The item is in aged condition. The glass shows visible surface grime and internal residue. The iron carrier is heavily oxidised with significant rust and surface wear throughout. The cardboard padding is worn and torn.
