Lot 374: A Vintage A-America Brass-Finished Decorative Mortar Model
A vintage decorative mortar model, attributed to A-America. The piece is constructed from cast metal with a brass-toned finish. It features a short, wide-bore barrel mounted at a fixed elevation. The carriage is detailed with an ornate, openwork design incorporating circular motifs and is supported by two large spoked wheels at the front. The carriage terminates in a curved trail with integrated crossbar handles at the rear.
Condition report:
The object shows a light surface patina and minor wear consistent with its use as a decorative collectible. An orange adhesive tag with the handwritten number 374 is present on the side. A small piece of white material is visible within the muzzle.
