Lot 372: A Vintage Copper and Wood Laundry Posser
A vintage laundry posser featuring a bell-shaped copper head fitted to a long, tapered wooden handle. This implement was traditionally utilised for the manual agitation of clothing within a wash tub. The copper head is fixed to the terminal end of the wooden shaft. A small white identification tag is present on the handle.
Condition report:
The item is presented in an original, unrestored state. The copper head exhibits an aged patina with several minor surface indentations. The wooden handle shows signs of wear and surface abrasions consistent with age and functional use. The piece remains structurally sound.
