Lot 305: A Collection of Framed Artworks including a Landscape signed C. Levy
A collection of framed artworks, primarily consisting of representational oil paintings and prints in traditional styles. The group includes a landscape piece, signed C. Levy and dated 1890, depicting a building beside a body of water with birds in flight, set within an ornate gilded gesso frame. Also included is a portrait of a young girl in a white dress and a pastoral scene featuring children and a lamb, both presented in decorative gilded frames, one featuring a double mat. Several pieces bear small white inventory stickers marked with the number 4.
Condition report:
The frames exhibit various levels of wear consistent with age, including surface abrasions and minor losses to the gilded gesso. The artworks show some surface dust and general aging.
