Lot 283: A British Avon S10 Respirator
A British military Avon S10 respirator, manufactured by Avon Rubber. The item is constructed from black synthetic rubber and features two circular eyepieces. It includes a central intake and speech diaphragm assembly with a side-mounted filter port. A single black canister filter is currently attached to the side of the mask. The facepiece displays two adhesive inventory stickers, one orange numbered 283 and one white numbered 8. This model was the standard-issue service respirator for the British Armed Forces from the late 1980s.
Condition report:
The respirator shows signs of previous use and age. The eyepieces exhibit significant clouding and surface marking. There is visible surface dust and minor wear to the rubber components. The internal condition and viability of the filter are unknown, and the item is sold for historical display purposes only.
