Lot 266: A Collection of Studio Pottery
A collection of hand-thrown stoneware studio pottery comprising various functional and decorative forms. The group includes a large circular charger or shallow tray finished in a mottled dark brown glaze with a wide, flat rim. Also included is a deep bowl with a similar dark glaze to the exterior and a smaller pitcher featuring a variegated green and brown glaze. A tan-coloured mug completes the collection, showing visible throwing rings and a simple loop handle. Several pieces exhibit incised markings or motifs to the base.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition with minor surface wear and light abrasions consistent with age and handling. Adhesive inventory labels are present on several pieces. No significant chips, cracks, or restorations are visible.
