An antique Chinese wooden water bucket of stave construction. The cylindrical body is composed of vertical wooden slats secured by two oxidised metal hoops. The vessel features a distinctive integrated overhead handle formed by two extended staves joined by a notched horizontal crossbar. The wood is finished in a dark stain, exhibiting a weathered patina throughout.
Condition report:
The bucket shows signs of wear consistent with age and utilitarian use. Surface scuffs, scratches, and areas of finish loss are present. There are minor chips to the wooden staves and visible oxidation on the metal bands.
