Lot 136: A Collection of Chinese Blue and White and Polychrome Porcelain Ginger Jars
A collection of Chinese glazed porcelain ginger jars of ovoid form. The group includes a jar decorated in polychrome enamels featuring the Double Happiness character amidst floral sprays in shades of pink, green, and blue. Other jars in the collection display traditional blue and white underglaze decoration, including one with a scrolling border at the rim and floral motifs. The vessels are of typical porcelain construction with domed lids. Small white inventory labels and orange stickers are present on the exterior surfaces.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good condition. One jar is currently missing its lid. There is minor surface wear and adhesive residue from inventory stickers consistent with age and use.
