Lot 124: A Collection of Decorative Wooden and Stone Boxes and Containers
A group of assorted decorative boxes and containers featuring various styles and materials. The lot includes a rectangular box with intricate mother-of-pearl and bone inlay in a geometric star design, a hexagonal khatam-style box with micro-mosaic marquetry, and multiple Alpine-style turned wood containers with carved floral motifs including edelweiss. Further items include a wooden box with pierced lattice-work, a carved wooden box with a central inlaid star motif, and a rectangular box with foliate marquetry to the lid. One carved wooden box bears a gold-toned Centenary Collection label on the base. The collection also contains a rectangular white stone or alabaster tray and a small circular container with polychrome floral decoration.
