The group includes a lid for Home-Made Potted Meats manufactured by the Army & Navy Co-Operative Society Limited, 105 Victoria St, London, featuring a central circular crest depicting a sailing ship and a geometric border. The second lid is for Burgess’s Genuine Anchovy Paste for Toast Biscuit &c, featuring a royal coat of arms and addresses at Late 107 Strand, London and Hythe Road, Willesden N.W. The third lid is for Woods Areca Nut Tooth Paste, proprietor W. Woods, Chemist, Plymouth, with typography detailing its use for removing tartar and whitening teeth and a price of 6d. All pieces exhibit characteristic underglaze transfer printing on a white ceramic ground. A portion of a floral-decorated porcelain object is also present.
