A Japanese Satsuma Meiji Period figural vase, crafted from ceramic with polychrome enamel and extensive gilt decoration. The vase features two primary decorative panels: one depicting haloed figures, and another showing figures in traditional East Asian attire within an interior setting, framed by elaborate geometric and foliate patterns. It is supported by a vigorously modeled mythical creature, resembling a Foo Dog or Qilin, adorned with gilt spots, scales, and vivid enamel colors. The underside bears a red six-character reign mark, which translates to “大清乾隆年製” (Dà Qīng Qiánlóng Nián Zhì), meaning “Made during the Qianlong reign of the Great Qing.” An inventory sticker “12 12” is affixed to the vase.
