Lot 354: A Collection of Approximately 20 Charles Buchan's Soccer Gift Books and Other Sports Annuals
A collection of approximately 20 vintage hardcover sports annuals and gift books, primarily from the mid-20th century. The majority are from the “Charles Buchan’s Soccer Gift Book” series, with visible publication years including 1956-57, 1958-59, 1959-60, 1961-62 (two copies), 1963-64, 1964-65, 1965-66, 1967-68, 1968-69 (two copies), 1969-70, and 1973. Also included are “The Best of Charles Buchan’s Football Monthly” by Simon Inglis, featuring a “BRIT” logo, and two “Scoop Sports Annuals” from 1982 and 1983. The books exhibit various spine colors including yellow, red, orange, green, and blue. Several volumes are encased in clear plastic bags. Handwritten text on the container lid reads “Title and Rovers,” and an orange sticker with “354” is affixed to the container.
