DECEMBER SALE
Lot 162:
A rectangular, tan leather-bound folder or album. The front cover features an embroidered circular patch depicting a black bird, possibly an eagle or falcon, on a white and light blue field, encircled by yellow, and surmounted by a multi-colored crown emblem. Below the central design, a yellow banner on the patch bears the Latin text “CCXVI DONA FERENS,” which translates to “216 Bringing Gifts.” A small, tarnished silver-toned metallic figure, resembling a Kewpie doll or cherub, is attached to the cover via a cream-colored ring and metal loop. Two orange stickers displaying the number “162” are visible, one on the cream ring and another on a white label with a large red “S” or “6” in the upper left corner of the leather.
