DECEMBER SALE
Lot 55:
A group of early 20th Century Chinese Nianqian Zhilong Famille Rose porcelain plates and charger. The group comprises four distinct decorative items. The uppermost item is a porcelain charger, likely Chinese export, showcasing polychrome birds, butterflies, and various flora in a Famille Rose palette on a light celadon green ground with a gilded rim; it bears “55” and “12 12” stickers. To its right is a dark, possibly metallic, circular object featuring etched or painted metallic geometric patterns and stylized foliage, suggestive of architectural elements. Below, a porcelain plate displays a central landscape scene depicting a structure (possibly a pagoda) amidst mountains, surrounded by an elaborate gilded border with small polychrome flowers on a rich yellow ground, marked with a “12” sticker. The fourth plate, located at the bottom, is also porcelain, characterized by a vibrant cobalt blue border with extensive gilded scrollwork and reserves containing polychrome floral bouquets against a white background; partially visible stickers read “55” and “07.”
